The brother in this video may not have the polish of an Eton-educated politician, and he may meander a bit, and he certainly is no member of the “sophisto set”, but he speaks the truth—eloquently. And he aims to be listened. As in the US and other parts of the “developed world”, the British riots are the tip of a complex struggle in which the wounds of class mingle powerfully with the wounds inflicted by racism, as the system deploys all its assets to quell the incipient rebellions.
