Health insurance still a scandal in America; African Americans & Hispanics hardest hit

I should be shocked, but I’m not! It’s always been that way for Black Americans, yes? The only difference is that now, Hispanics are the new Blacks. Despite this, the situation of Blacks has not really improved overall, right? I am so sure compared to data from 5 or 10 years back, the health insurance picture of Blacks has not really changed all that much in absolute terms. Oh well. Here’s hoping, fingers crossed, that Obamacare will change this dramatically.
But what does this infographic point out to? Because if it says what I think it does, then this is quite alarming. It’s just hard for me to imagine that inequality still exists, and with something as simple as basic health care. Access to good medical attention should never be dictated by the color of one’s skin. Makes you wonder what’s in store for all of us once Obamacare finally goes full gear in 2014.
