Pat Sajak Mocked on Twitter for Calling Those Concerned With Climate Change ‘Unpatriotic Racists.’
Is Pat Sajak really a hard-core mean spirited reactionary? That is the question—apparently.
Hours after “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak called people concerned with climate change “unpatriotic racists,” he was mocked relentlessly on Twitter, becoming the top trending topic on the social media service. Sajak tweeted:
Soon after Sajak’s tweet (above), hundreds of users ridiculed his statement, beginning with noted American climatologist and geophysicist, Michael E. Mann.
Soon after other Tweeters began to pile it on. For example:
Sajak later went into damage-control mode and tried to make light of his statement, cryptically suggesting that he just enjoyed stirring the pot. But it was too late, the meme had taken hold. Soon, Twitter users were using Wheel of Fortune’s letter board to taunt the game show host.
Sajak is a former television weatherman, but he is not a meteorologist.

Editor’s Note: Maybe Sajak meant to parody the rightwing, Fox-indoctrinated morons who still believe climate change is not happening, OR, just as bad, that it is happening but it’s not caused by humans, but natural phenomena or the “Will of God”. His show’s demographics certainly reach many in that crowd.
