[T]he American imperial obsession to destroy Russia as a competing world power has inadvertently detonated a democratic revival in parts of the conflict zones, such as Eastern Ukraine, where the people of the Donetsk’s People’s Republic (DPR)* are seeking a new form of independent rule without oligarchs of any stripe. Few events are as dramatic and important these days as the struggle in the heroic Donbas region where a new society full of promise is being born.

Humanity owes a great debt to these brave people. They are showing the way out from the current global cesspool of political apathy, endless wars,  obscene inequality, widespread poverty, and ecological devastation into which an American-led capitalism has plunged just about everyone in this planet. We should salute the people of Eastern Ukraine for resisting so nobly the onslaught of the Kiev/NATO war machine. It is a most inspiring feat.
