The brutal hegemon casts a long shadow
[dropcap]A[/dropcap]n excellent summary from Christopher Alan Driscoll of the many places the U.S. psychopaths have been the busiest at inciting violence currently…
CHRIS A. DRISCOLL
China and Russia have known for decades what U.S. imperialism is up to–and it’s been doing it over several presidents: world domination.
If we pan out and take in the big picture of the whole Earth, what we see is U.S. imperialism on the move on several fronts at once:
.
In Venezuela over the last several years they are inciting riots and coup attempts, the most recent one just last month, along with putting a squeeze on consumer goods going into the country.
.
In Syria we see Obama’s proxy war using Islamic terrorists against the legally elected president and government there, having already caused more than 200,000 deaths and 5 million displaced refugees.
.
In Ukraine, we see the United States having paid for, armed and directed a violent fascist coup against the legally elected government there, and then directing it’s fascist allies to launch an all-out genocidal ethnic cleansing of the eastern part of the country where most of the people are ethnic Russians, in an attempt to leave a failed state on fire like a gaping hole in Russia’s European facing side and forcing Russia into a debilitating long-term war. The CIA is busy at work trying also to continue to support Islamic terrorists in Chechnya and radical right-wing nationalists in Georgia, in separate attempts to destabilize Russia.
.
And of course in South East Asia the United States is inciting violence against China. That’s not to mention Africa where Obama has moved U.S. troops into more than 25 countries.
.
There is a handful of independent countries left in the world that are not under the direct control of U.S. imperialism. And the United States is hellbent on either forcing all those countries under its jackboot, or destroying them. And when a country refuses to submit itself to U.S. control, it is eventually destroyed. Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Libya and Yugoslavia were not about oil. They were not about new opportunities for U.S. multinationals. They were about total destruction as a punishment for refusing to kowtow to imperialism and as an object lesson to the other countries in the world that you ether submit to U.S. imperialism, or you are destroyed. That’s what Iran, Russia, China, Venezuela and its Latin American allies, and any other independent countries left have to look forward to unless we can rein in the out of control U.S. Empire that is destroying large parts of the world.”
A Note On the Obama/Netanyahu rift
Most of the inter-ruling-class fight is smoke and mirrors. Neither side is talking about cutting the Zionists off. However, Obama, just like Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford etc. had to do before him, is being forced to put the Zionists in their place, and their place is as a faithful pitbull in the Middle East fighting for imperial interests. Netanyahu seems to have forgotten who is in charge, so Obama is reminding him. People around the world are so sick of the Zionist attitude that Obama–like all his predecessors when they had to curb Israeli overreach–will handily win and the Republicans who have sided with Netanyahu will lose. Already the polls of Americans are showing a huge majority siding with Obama on this one. And of course, at the end of it all, Obama will continue to fund these fascists and shield them from the United Nations, the International Criminal Court and world opinion.
