Screen Shot 2016-01-23 at 2.38.28 PMIn this, the third and final video in the Crimean series, Dr. Chopov addresses the history of the Crimean Tartars from the Ottoman Empire to the modern mythology about their oppression under Russia. The lies that the US is spreading about the situation of the Crimean Tartars underpins much of the other anti-Russian propaganda as it is used to point to Russian persecution of minority populations. This is far from the truth. Rather, the propaganda is presenting a group that is a Turkish, rightist, group known as “The Grey Wolves.” Given the US installed Ukrainian government, and the strong nationalist component thereof, is it any surprise that they are also supporting the so called “rights” of “The Grey Wolf” organization?

This video is released as part of the May 18th deportation commemoration.

Alexander Chopov, Ph.D.  is the Director and Producer of a new YouTube Channel – War in Ukraine – the Unreported Truth. The purpose of the channel is to give the people of Donbass an English voice so they can be heard beyond Donbass. Dr. Chopov  has a double major in International Affairs from George Washington University, and a doctorate in political science from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. He interned in the US Congress,  and has lived in US for over 10 years studying both American mentality and politics.
