For who, with half a brain functioning, can deny that the “Free Press”, the corporate press, is nothing but an Orwellian propaganda machine propping the global corporate status quo and a cheerleader for its filthier and most criminal projects? What’s more the “Free Press” has been nothing of the sort for generations, their support for capitalist crimes, at home and abroad, goes back well over a century. It was after all their collaboration that permitted the US ruling class to involve this country in the Korean and Vietnam wars, topple legitimate leaders in Iran (and scores of other nations), and many other acts of flagrant aggression across the globe, culminating with the current era of endless wars in the Middle East, the hypocritical and appalling aggressions in Iraq, Libya and Syria, and the slide to a possible lethal confrontation with Russia, China and other major powers.

We offer Ron Paul and his son, Rand Paul, libertarians whom by definition we would object to ideologically given their approval of primitive capitalism, our recognition for their decency and principled opposition to the sneaky attacks on freedom of speech being launched by the masters of insidiousness and devious attacks, the Neoliberal mainstream establishment and their political and media hacks. It is they and mainly they who, marching in lockstep with the conservatives, have been spreading “fake news” for far longer than anyone can remember, sowing the wind with smug, self-serving Big Lies, and reaping a rich harvest of constant violence, widespread economic and political injustice, enormous suffering across all continents, chaos and endless brutal wars.

Incidentally in this expanding brawl, the public is further confused by the appearance of proto-fascists like Gary Franchi, of the Next News Network, who agitates against “the Left”, while stealing many of the analyses and grievances of the real left. It does not help that, as I have often warned, the theft of the label “left” by the Cold War and now “PC establishment liberals” would have terrible consequences. Lodged deep in the Democratic party, liberaloid media and academia, this segment of the population is deeply hated now by an aroused working class, temporarily marching under Trump banners. Taught from the cradle to hate and despise leftists, the masses cannot distinguish between the phonies and the genuine article and react with hostility against both. Meantime, labor’s leadership, having refused to educate their membership, and deeply compromised by their supine subservience to the corporatist Democrats, sit on their arses while the enemies advance.
