Throughout his political career, he’s been a progressive in name only.
.
His voting record exposed what he stands for, most often supporting America’s dark side - notably its imperial wars, one-sided backing of Israel, and commodifying healthcare, a fundamental human right.
During the debate on Obamacare before enactment, he was the only Senate member rhetorically supporting universal healthcare - then voted with Democrats for what Ralph Nader called a “pay or die” system - a healthcare rationing scheme benefitting insurers, drug companies and large hospital chains.
.
The problem with Sanders is his rhetoric belies his record, saying one thing, supporting another, war goddess, racketeer, perjurer Hillary and deplorable Obamacare. It’s a consumer ripoff, a corporate-designed profit-making scam rife with inequities, along with a bureaucratic nightmare for physicians.
.
It leaves millions uninsured, most others way underinsured. It’s outrageously expensive, double the cost of healthcare in other developed countries, making it unaffordable for many households. Earlier Sanders called it vital for “30 million uninsured Americans who will have access to healthcare…for seniors who will continue to see their prescription drug costs go down…for 20 million Americans who will soon be able to find access to community health centers.”
.
He ignored millions left uninsured, most others unable to afford proper coverage because of escalating insurance costs and drug prices. Calling “the Affordable Care Act…an important step in the right direction” ignored the reality about this deplorable law. He continues praising ACA while criticizing Trumpcare - instead of opposing both schemes as unacceptable.
.
Hypocrisy defines him, supporting what serves his interests like all other dirty politicians in Washington. Rare exceptions prove the rule.
.
Blasting Trumpcare as a tax cut for rich Americans masquerading as healthcare legislation, he ignored the drafting of Obamacare for and by insurers, drug companies and large hospital chains at the expense of affordable healthcare for all Americans.
.
Saying “this is what oligarchy is all about” leaves unexplained the way Washington does business on virtually all issues, a bipartisan conspiracy against equity, justice and peace. Sanders is part of the dirty system. Pretending otherwise tries concealing his real agenda, the same one as all other undemocratic Democrats.
.
America’s criminal class is bipartisan, duopoly governance with two right wings.
.
Sanders is like most others in Washington, a disgrace to the office he holds.
