George Carlin – Political Correctness is Priggishness Pretending to be Manners

HELP ENLIGHTEN YOUR FELLOWS. BE SURE TO PASS THIS ON. SURVIVAL DEPENDS ON IT.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and liberals are often the roadmap makers, by definition.

In the age when torture has become "enhanced interrogation techniques"; when the rich are "job creators"; when murdered children are "collateral damage"; it is good to remember these brilliant words from the late, great, George Carlin. It is also good to remember that the penchant to hide upsetting realities is a national obsession, usually advanced by the establishment "language doctors". Thus the phrase "shell shocked," evolved down the decades into a clinical-sounding "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder", but this has now been officially changed in American English practice to "PTSD", a totally lifeless non-threatening acronym,  with an almost whiny feel to it.

PATRICE GREANVILLE

It's now more clear than ever that Carlin left us much too early. We need brave minds like this desperately in a culture of namby pambies wishing (so they say) to make real changes in the world, but (get this) deathly afraid of offending anyone's supposed sensibilities. You can guess how far they will get with that attitude.  But wait: you DON'T have to guess. The historical record of liberals' accomplishments speaks for itself. Its putrid culmination in the Obama-Clinton regimes in the Age of Oprah bringing us to the age of Trump, and the Orwellian spectacle of watching a so-called left riding the war horse to nuclear perdition harder than even the rightists.

Incidentally, my castigation of liberals—these fierce extremists of the reformist center— is not to be interpreted as an implicit endorsement of rightwing yahoos, freemarketeers, sundry species of capitalist apologists, and other stripes of imbecility, selfishness, criminality, prostitution to power, and terminal stupidity. That's why in America I hold Republicans and Democrats in equal contempt and revulsion, and regard them literally, not figuratively, as full-fledged criminal enterprises (the "corporate duopoly"), doing their best to bamboozle the American population into believing they still live in a democracy, yea, flawed, some will reluctantly admit, but still a great democracy. Well, got news for you: that's pure fiction. The US is not a democracy and probably never was. The US from the start, glorious and pious proclamations aside, was an exclusivist aristocratic republic. These days, as proven by even Ivy League, definitely non-radical academics like Martin Gillens, it is certifiably a plutocratic imperialist monster. So deal with it. That's the reality of our situation.

All outrageous commentary by the editor. Do not blame anyone else.

Endorsed by powerful liberal opinion shapers, PC has reached idiotic levels and is now muffling speech instead of liberating expression. It is also a temperamental question that favors social cowardice instead of courageous confrontation with the all-enveloping evil, and its equally common bullshit.

Parting shot—a word from the editors
The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found

In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” -- acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. That ain’t Donald Trump -- a pitifully shallow and ill-disciplined man, emotionally handicapped by obscene privilege and cognitively crippled by white American chauvinism. By pushing Trump into a corner and demanding that he display his most bellicose self, or be ceaselessly mocked as a “puppet” and minion of Russia, a lesser power, the War Party and its media and clandestine services have created a perfect storm of mayhem that may consume us all.
