The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found
In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” -- acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. That ain’t Donald Trump -- a pitifully shallow and ill-disciplined man, emotionally handicapped by obscene privilege and cognitively crippled by white American chauvinism. By pushing Trump into a corner and demanding that he display his most bellicose self, or be ceaselessly mocked as a “puppet” and minion of Russia, a lesser power, the War Party and its media and clandestine services have created a perfect storm of mayhem that may consume us all.— Glen Ford, Editor in Chief, Black Agenda Report
Extremely important and impeccably argued, as usual. The disinformation and distraction curtain enveloping this issue, the push for hegemony at any cost, even nuclear annihilation, by the US ruling class should be amply known to one and all, if the corporate media and its owners and overpaid top functionaries were a real operating free press instead of a filthy assembly of presstitutes.
The following from the original thread, which perfectly reflects the position of the editors of this publication (The Greanville Post): LUZMILAGROSMAMAWOLF / FEBRUARY 4, 2018 Caity, again you tell a compelling story of the absurdity of our conversations around Russia and American relations. One of the major reasons I left Facebook was because people were making a bigger stink about Trump’s antics on Twitter instead of the critical manipulations of the Deep State to create escalations between Russia & the US. People supporting candidates that vote for giving Trump enhanced war powers while at the same time saying he is… Read more »
Frankly the choice is between a slow poisoning and a quick departure from this earth. The general idiocy and lackadaisical treatment of the global resources paired with the befoulment of our own environment (no animal would do this) condemns this planet to extinction anyway unless people will wise up which is very unlikely. So onward we march like the blind leading the blind into the crevices of obliteration as in a famous Breughel painting. In the interim we squabble and let the mad deceive us while they spur on the powerless to fight their wars and the unaware support their… Read more »
