Yellow Vests—Point of No Return (Documentary-French lang.)
Editor's Note: Although this brief documentary on the Yellow Vests (Gilets Jaunes) is in French, we present it nonetheless because of its superb imagery. It shows that the Yellow Vests have been involved in far more serious disturbances than just repeated "Acts" (Actes, as they call their weekly mobilizations, latest was XI). These occur in ALL major and even minor cities and towns in France, as no less than 70% of the population supports the protests, but the media tries to deny their magnitude and persistence. Taranis News has done an excellent job of true citizens' journalism, and for that we express our deepest gratitude.

The "Red Scarves" (Foulards Rouges) make their entrance.
These folks are the precise opposite of the Yellow Vests: they support "order", Macron, and the neoliberal system in place. Classwise, they have a large representation of merchants, and upper middle class types. They are being encouraged by the government toact like a dam to the Yellow Vests tidal waves, and possible political conquests. It's time for the Yellow Vests to create a "Paris Alternatif"—a fixed encampment— for those pushing for a new vision of society. Let it attract people from all over Europe and the rest of the world. They march in the name of "stopping the violence". But, history shows, polite requests, no matter how massive, never moved a ruling class to change course. How are the people of France going to accomplish a true overhaul of the ruling social arrangement just by begging the powerful?
