DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN: The Venezuelan comfortable classes beg for foreign intervention
Venezuela's opposition pleads for US intervention - Max Blumenthal reports from Caracas march
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he upper classes in every nation in revolutionary turmoil always side with foreign patrons willing to help them restore their sweet "old order." So it was with the Russian "whites", who fought for years to defeat the "Reds" in the early years of the 20th century, and the Chilean bourgeoisie in 1973 when it was happy to turn over the nation to the comprador plague, the US, and a butcher in uniform. While the western press applauded. Nothing has changed because the class interests pitting these two worlds remain the same. The upper and upper middle classes, plus the inevitable sectors of the middle and even lower class influenced by their example and opinions constitute in large measure each country's "Fifth Column."

Here's the latest proof. A protest by affluent Venezuelans in their own rich neighborhoods against "dictator" Maduro, who not only lets them demonstrate freely and without harassment, but who still allows them free travel, constant plotting against the government, and the control of 3/4 of the country's filthy media, used around the clock as a machinery of sedition.
In this eloquent video, Max Blumenthal, who's becoming quite an expert at exposing the lies of the global oligarchy and the criminality of their servants (he recently went up to Capitol Hill to ask "the representatives of the people" how they felt about the Trump coup against Venezuela) by using their own testimony, shows us here the utter falsehood of the accusations of hunger and duress supposedly besetting the Venezuelan people. Such charges are naturally eagerly disseminated by the US media.
