[dropcap]P[/dropcap]hilip interviewed Coleen Rowley, a retired FBI agent and former Minneapolis Division Legal Counsel who became a whistleblower about some of the FBI's pre 9-11 failures. She testified to the Joint Intelligence Committee Inquiry and to the Senate Judiciary Committee and later was named, along with two other whistleblowers, as TIME Magazine's 2002 "Persons of the Year."

Rowley also publicly warned against launching the U.S. war on Iraq in 2003 explaining that it was not justified and would serve to increase terrorism. She retired from the FBI in 2004 and continues to write and speak about the costs of US "perpetual war" (waged all over the world) and how this "uber militarism" and fool's errand of seeking "full spectrum dominance" over the rest of the world has now "blown back" on Americans.
