About the Author
The CIA-redacted Wikipedia offers this very unhelpful and downright poisonous bio for the author, a masterpiece of damning via half-truths: "Paul Craig Roberts is an American economist, author, and Holocaust denier. (sic) He formerly held a sub-cabinet office in the United States federal government as well as teaching positions at several U.S. universities. He is a promoter of supply-side economics and an opponent of recent U.S. foreign policy." We say, form your own opinion. This and many other serious political publications carry plenty of materials written by PCR, and you can always check his own blog at https://www.paulcraigroberts.org. PCR was indeed in Reagan's economics team as a proponent of voodoo supply side economics, an experience he apparently has yet to reconcile in his own mind, but note that the blurb writer is also castigating him for opposing US forein policy, which, being largely a criminal enterprise, should be opposed. In sum, PCR is a complex, evolving important public intellectual whose role should not be caricatured or invidiously classified.
