Does the United States really care about human rights in other countries?
That’s why the US slaughtered millions of people in Korea and Vietnam.
America's "wars of choice" in Korea and Vietnam count as among history's greatest international crimes.
Chilean supporters of President Allende being hauled off to detention, torture and often death by coup forces on 11 September 1973, when Chile's armed forces attacked the presidential palace and initiated a brutal regime that lasted almost two decades under Gen. Pinochet, a Washington and London protegé.
Or why it supported (and still does) oppressive and bloody dictatorships all over Latin America that were responsible for the deaths, torture, disappearances and persecution of countless people.
Or why it was the mastermind behind “Operation Condor”, during which alone the above mentioned US puppet dictatorships murdered a solid 50.000–100.000 people all across the continent.

Eisenhower, mistakenly regarded as a progressive by many liberals due to his very belated warning about the MIC, with the Shah of Iran, a brutal and corrupt American gendarme for the Middle East region.
Also why the US supported Islamic terrorists and extremists in Afghanistan during “operation cyclone” in order to fight the Russians.
The US loves to defend human rights in Syria as well, where it armed, trained and financed head-chopping jihadists that have been murdering and raping their way through Syria, over the secular government of president Assad.
The US cares about human rights, that's why it backs Saudi Arabia (the beacon of human rights, as we all know) militarily, politically and morally, and even assists its genocidal war of annihilation in Yemen. I could go on, but that would make my answer infinitely long.
Point: the US cares about “human rights” when its interests are threatened.
The US is the last country on Earth that should lecture others on human rights. Especially in regards to China, which the US accuses of running “concentration camps for Muslims”, apparently.
