attorney. He is best known for publishing a series of reports detailing previously unknown information about American and British
global surveillanceprograms. These reports were based on classified documents provided by
Edward Snowden.
Greenwald worked as a constitutional attorney for ten years before he began blogging on national security issues and then contributing for
Salon and
The Guardian. At the time, Greenwald was considered one of the most influential opinion columnists in the United States.
