Iversen discusses how China is maintaining the Chinese economy for the benefit of the Chinese rather than allowing all of its assets to be up for sale to the highest bidder from anywhere like the U.S. has done. Iversen says many things that are spot on, but she clearly does not see or understand the importance of many other variables, including the rise and consequences of imperialism, something which would probably require a Marxian perspective, something that Iversen is either unfamiliar with or simply hostile by formation.
