The facts the elites live by a different legal and social standard becomes compellingly clear as top governors betray the public interest and no penalties are ever filed.  Rick Snyder, former Michigan governor, grossly disregarded the Flint water poisoning scandal, yet the courts treated the whole thing as a misdemeanor.

Ex-Governor Fined $1000 For Poisoning Flint Michigan.

Note: The main witness against Snyder in this case is alternative investigative journalist Jordan Chariton. While his work is certainly quite valuable, and easily several cuts above the claptrap prduced by corporate journals, Chareton has (in our view) stained his record by publicly joining the cancel culture and censorship chorus, asking that The Convo Couch be deplatformed by Google. We find that simply unacceptable, an abject posture for anyone claiming to be a genuine leftist, or "progressive". It's not just that The Convo Couch is a solid example of people's journalism at its best, with information and commentary simply vital to our struggles. It's a question of  principle. We don't ask our enemies to sic their dogs on our comrades. Period. Further, in his statements, Chareton also evidences —in our view—a substantive degree of confusion about what constitutes protected speech, and when penalties or restraints might apply.—PG
