An informal chat with Caleb Maupin as your guide to the multitude of news, lies, distortions, rumors, idiocies, hypocrisies, and ideologies that shape our world.

As the sun sets in the decrepit oil-based, war-addicted imperialist West, an Eurasian order is rising, with China in the lead. It's a new dawn for humanity.

THE OIL-BASED CAPITALIST ORDER IS IN CRISIS—THE EAST IS RED, AND THE EURASIAN ALTERNATIVE IS RISING
With his usual talent for making complex and important matters accessible to all, Caleb dedicates this chat to a review of recent developments underscoring the geopolitical shift causing so much turmoil and hand-wringing in the seat of the Western empire.

blockage of the Suez Canal by a ship the size of the Empire State Building has stoked economic anxieties around the globe, that only escalate each day the critical maritime trade route remains closed.

IN THIS CHAT
The topics include:
Desperate efforts by the Western establishment to create a a real Ministry of Truth, through censorship and all possible forms of consciousness manipulation • A 4-block long oil tanker runs aground in the Suez Canal, choking oil deliveries for days, but the news is basicaly ignored by most media. Why? What's more, instead of climbing, oil prices continue to drop. The reason, notes Maupin, is that we have an oil glut. Partly through the efforts to make the US once again the world's top oil producer and because of the sharp drop in demand aused by the pandemic, the oil supply is at an all-time high. Aggravating this situation for the largest Western oil producers—a cartel comprised of the "5 supermajors"—Exxon-Mobil, BP, Shell, Chevron, and TOTAL—tightly intertwined with the world's top banking trusts, from Morgan-Chase, controlled by the Rockefellers, to HSBC in London and Hong-Kong, is that China is switching its energy needs away from oil —especially for its automotive and mechanical apliances—and favoring an electric paradigm, mostly reliant on titanium. These "economic" shits highlight and portend a huge political change in the global power distributions. The oil-based order whose control has given the US and the West so much strategic influence, and allowed them to control and blackmail other nations, is finished. This order—which the US still struggles to defend as "the best of all possible worlds" —even at the likely cost of a nuclear war, is anchored in US global hegemony and a decadent capitalism whose social values of extreme but hypocritical liberalism, entrenched inequality, and fake democracy, much of the world rejects.

Also discussed:  Trotsky and Trotskyism, re the USSR, China, Germany, France, Mao, etc. • Effects of Trotskyism on the communist mivement • Ultraleftism & Soviet revisionism: the case of Enver Hoxha's Albania and Tito's Yugoslavia. And much more.
