Russian small town remembers its heroic Soviet wartime past.
Americans are still talking about 9/11, when less than 3,000 people died. The Russians lost 27 million lives.
This is the official description of this video by DW (German TV network) :
The citizens of the provincial Russian town of Yelnya cling to their heroic Soviet past. It was here where the Red Army pushed back Hitler’s troops for the first time in 1941. This film shows the continued pride in the military that is encouraged from early childhood. [This documentary was originally released in 2019.] #documentary #dwdocumentary
DW (Deutsche Welle is Germany's official public tv channel/news service. It has now joined the lynching mob against Russia, so this documentary is an anomaly. It aims to show the "militarisation" of the Russian people on account of the Western menace, which the documentarian, in typical NATO-approved fashion, implicitly derides as a myth. In fact, wide-scale political mobilization was a reality in the Soviet Union, given its nonstop struggle against internal enemies, saboteurs, etc., many paid and organized by the West, and its ever-present external enemies, including the Anglo-American alliance, and later fascist Germany itself. But the camera cannot lie 100%, so with all the deformations we find in its presentation, it shows some important truths about life in Russia and the former USSR, and the price paid by the Russian/Soviet people for the repugnant war —economic, political, diplomatic, informational, and kinetic (shooting)—incessantly waged on them by the Western powers, led by the Anglo-Americans. To this day, Russia has never been allowed to rebuild itself in peace. Never allowed to properly heal her wounds. Now it's again under heavy sanctions and threatened by a proxy war that could quickly escalate to the unthinkable. And the blame for that remains with the West's elites. This video was classified as "restricted" by YouTube, making it difficult to distribute in third party websites, supposedly on request from DW, so we had to do some somersaults to present it here. Instead of amplifying information that unites people across brokers, these people, these corporate, billionaire-owned, social media networks, work to snuff out all truthful contacts, making wars inevitable. It's interesting that although this film was and is being distributed by DW, the filmmaker and director is Russian, the talented Dmitry Bogolyubov. Who knows if this cut is the one he approves of. And we can't tell what kind of Russian he is; there are many "Atlanticist' Russians —especially in the arts community—who remain, misguidedly, enamored with the West. —Editor
