I am from the USSA. I moved to Uruguay 10 years ago, because, even back in 2012 (actually well before 2012), I felt the threat of the authoritarians. I have never felt more free than I do now living in South America. Who would have thought. The West has become an authoritarian monster, and a dangerously, wounded one at that. They are completely unconscious of how their own behavior contradicts all of their so called principles. Yes, indeed, we live in strange and dangerous times.
