Rachel Maddow famously ran a remarkably duplicitous, even for her, story about the recent anti-war rally in Washington DC, focusing on fringe elements and even outright lying about who attended. But another reporter on her network, Marissa Parra, covered the event honestly, actually interviewing attendees for their perspective and acknowledging the myriad viewpoints represented by speakers who set aside their differences to collectively call for a negotiated resolution to the Ukraine conflict. Guest host Aaron Maté and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger note that this superior segment on the rally could not be found anywhere on the MSNBC website or YouTube channel.
