Showing journalistic courage and a fair dose of intelligence, Tucker Carlson quickly carved up a niche of loyal followers among the millions of people who feel bored, insulted, betrayed and disenfranchised by the overpaid corporate presstitutes. Eventually, however, his independence, professional power and topical unpredictability grew too much for the powers that be. He was becoming too dangerous, impossible to handle reliably, and sprouting journalistic tendencies (like denouncing the Ukraine war) that were unacceptable to the "deep state".  So they fired him. But the newly "canceled" figure refused to stay canceled, or invisible, and now, banking on his fame, he has made a comeback that is even more of a shock than anything his former handlers could have feared. Tucker landed on Twitter, and apparently tens of millions are willing to follow. About 90 million and counting to be precise. The only fly in this wonderful ointment is that Tucker still feels he has to cast aspersions on the Soviet Union, whose Western-enamoured citizens, we know, were in love with a cruel fantasy about what the US and the West really were and are. Indeed, the very idea that the Soviet media, whatever defects it may have had, was the mirror of what the Western press is and still is, a disinformation machine in the service of capitalist oligarchs, is a huge and disgraceful error. A malicious caricature used by anti-Soviet propagandists unworthy of a true journalist, which is what Tucker aspires to be. —PG

At last check Tucker’s video had collected more than 88 million views, representing far more eyeballs than any program on the cable news networks.
