Neoliberalism (free-market capitalism) is a self-serving racquet to constantly redistribute money to the top 0.1%, declares Garland Nixon. Under Reagan we had "Reaganomics" whereby giving money to the superrich was supposedly a good way to make wealth "trickle down" to the poor. Of course, the notion was and remains a fraud. But under "Bidenomics" we don't even have the pretense of "trickle down"; they simply shovel huge amounts of money to the super-rich leaving everyone else stunned or simply in the dark about the whole ripoff. Capitalism has always been a predator on the poor and working masses, by definition, but in its "Neoliberal" stage (another label to hide its bad reputation) it is even more so, as it functions in the late phase of capitalism, wherein the system's contradictions at home and abroad are sharpest and aggravated by decaying imperialism itself, in which the rottenness of the system is total. As such, neoliberalism has all the usual toxic marks of regular capitalism, constant wars, regressive taxes, and many other intolerable social and political defects, but these are writ large in a political culture that is more cynical than ever.

In short, neoliberalism is pretty much libertarianism by another name. Plus imperialist muscle to enforce its more outrageous diktats.
