However, something of a theoretical and clinical breakthrough has begun to occur in the last 20 years, chiefly due to immunotherapy advances, with clear signs that medicine is finally on a surer path to ultimate victory. Reports like these are becoming more common. At last, the cumulative evidence is starting to show that the idea a diagnosis of cancer is a death sentence is actually a false notion.
