Many important topics covered in this monologue, including: "The strange death of Wagner’s Prigozhin, mystery as US agents pull out of Belarus, and why dividing Ukraine would only move frontline and ensure endless threats of Western attacks and continuous wars. George also reminds us that it was the West, not the Soviet Union, as so many people have been deliberately misled to believe; that created the Cold War, that attempted (at the urging of a treacherous and corrupt Winston Churchill) to attack the Soviet Union right after the war had ended, planning to arm and enlist the remnants of the Nazi armies), and which also created NATO as an extension of US power in Europe years before Moscow created the Warsaw Pact in legitimate self-defense. It was also the West that erected the infamous "Iron Curtain", not the Soviets, although Western propaganda certainly blamed Moscow for that, too. This monologue is indeed a flash lesson in anti-revisionist history. Indeed, as George says, the lies throughout the West are so cynical and pervasive, that even the French population, probably the most politically sophisticated people in the West, now believe France was liberated by the Americans, thereby denying due credit to the Red Army.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR / SOURCEGeorge Galloway (born 16 August 1954) is a British politician, broadcaster, and writer who is currently leader of the Workers Party of Britain, serving since 2019. Between 1987 and 2010, and then between 2012 and 2015, Galloway was a Member of Parliament (MP) for four constituencies, first for the Labour Party and later for the Respect Party, the latter of which he joined in 2004 and led from 2013 until its dissolution in 2016.
