The evils of animal factories are well-known to an increasing number of humans, but the attachment to animal-based food is old and deeply grounded in cultural traditions. This discussion may hopefully expand your consciousness about the whole thing. The first prejudice that needs to be left behind is that this topic is frivolous and that it has no place in a world rocked by so many "more serious problems."

But Glenn, is that not the basic machinery of the capitalist state. Not only animals are prisoners, but humans too. Both are encased in inhumane exclusion factories meant to mechanize animal and human existence with the exception that at the end is animal death. Commodifying air, water and food for profit is not all that different from the agony of being shut up in an iron cage. Both produce total madness.
