The latest conflict with Hamas has led to a virtual tsunami of misinformation, disinformation and outright lies coming from Israeli authorities about Hamas atrocities, much of it repeated by an uninquisitive and uncritical mainstream media. But now one of Israel’s top newspapers, Haaretz, has published an exhaustive investigation into just some of those lies — beheaded babies, disemboweled pregnant women, children burned alive, etc. — and the results are genuinely shocking. Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss the gullibility with which the press seems to accept even the most outlandish claims spread by Israeli authorities.
PLUS: Israel has to be punished in the most severe way. Netanyahu wants to keep killing at any cost. With a depraved assault on Rafah looming ever larger, the anti-Zionist movement must raise the level of demands. It's time for the international community to demand an embargo on weapons to Israel, an immediate no-fly zone over Gaza, a blockade on Israel, and the unconditional release of all Palestinian prisoners. That has to be the bare minimum. |
