The panel discusses the retirement of Victoria Nuland, one of the vilest warmongering Neocons to ever occupy a position of power inside the State Dept. and the National Security fraternity; a war criminal (like the rest of the top foreign policy machine of this country), of unusual single-mindedness in the prosecution of her projects, a trait that spelled wholesale social dislocation, destruction and death in many countries around the globe, especially in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The roundtable wonders what might have prompted this sudden departure, and whether this might be traced to the political and strategic crisis facing the Biden administration, or some skeletons in Nuland's closet, a good probability considering the corruption drowning Ukraine and the depth of her involvement in that country. Carlo and Regis debate the roots of American population massive ignorance and passivity in the face of immense abuses by the ruling class. Carlo, disgusted at what he sees as widespread complicity in the crimes of empire, feels there is little excuse for such pitiful state of political confusion in an age when information is widely available on the Internet. He sees the US population as "third-class citizens" by their own choice. Regis thinks that the problem resides in America's centuries-old indoctrination—the most successful mass brainwash in history— using the foundational myths of exceptionalism: we're the good guys, the city on the hill, the freest country on earth, we're a robust democracy, etc., etc.

I don’t know who Sign. Parcelli is, but it is beyond me how he imagines that grownups raised at the existing school standards for the masses in Democracy would ever … “think”!
Is he the average grownup of a once illiterate kid ? Or why does he have expectations of the masses ?
And no charitable soul around to help me understand his (very popular!) position.
