Gaza War Sit Rep Day 178: Al Shifa Hospital Aftermath and Iranian Commander Assassinated

First impressions from the wreckage of a major crime; An assassination; Escalation continues. With Nora and Sina.

The panel discusses the depravity of Israel's systematic destruction of Gaza's hospitals, al Shifa being the latest, now lying mostly in ashes, a cowardly act that did not go without some heavy cost to the IDF since Hamas fighters mounted a stubborn resistance that forced the Israelis to withdraw. A remarkable accomplishment in itself.

The examination of the remains of the building shows it was the stage for horrifying violence against captive unarmed civilians, including many women and children. This includes massacres, rape, and other crimes that, from a pure moral standpoint, should receive much wider coverage on the mainstream media, but surely will not. In the midst of this organised ugliness, apparently the news emanating from Gaza that the Israelis have massacred hundreds of medical personnel has elicited not a peep from American or other Western medical societies. They have shown no solidarity whatsoever. 

The panel concludes with an examination of Israel's airstrike on Iran's Damascus embassy, a major escalation, which resulted in the death of several key Iranian commanders advising Syrian colleagues on the ongoing battle against the imperialist forces still embedded in Damascus' sovereign territory. Iran, they note, has a massive missile force, including hypersonic, that could represent the equivalent of a nuclear deterrent, but such massive use of  this type of weapon, could certainly invite a full nuclear response from Tel Aviv, as Israel's leadership is acting in a deranged fashion. (Which may well be an outright posture to precisely intimidate opponents.)
