Garland carefully dissects the Russian way of war, its by now irrefutable capacity to out-produce and out-match the West in war materials and military personnel qualifications, and how Moscow is now systematically using its accumulated strategic weight to cause a gigantic tide of collapse—political and military—across Ukraine, leaving the West no real options, except delusions and stubborn propaganda, none of which will deny the facts on the ground imposed by the Red Army. Since the end of WW2 (if not far longer) the West has been plotting the encirclement and downfall of first the Soviet Union and then Russia. Protestations by Russia that this was unacceptable fell on deaf ears. Eventually, after the US coup in Kiev in 2014, the Western alliance showed up literally on Russia's doorstep, "Moscow's front yard", forcing the country, now under Pres. Putin, to rapidly put its economy and military industries on a war footing.
Russia again tried the diplomatic route to no avail until 2021, but in 2022 Pres. Putin, witnessing the way the Kiev regime's army was shelling the Donbas area with a view to conquering those rebel provinces by force, ordered the SMO into Ukraine. Three or four NATO-trained and supplied armies later, and probably no less than 300,000 to perhaps even 500,000 dead and wounded, plus substantial destruction of Ukraine's infrastructure (albeit nothing like the purely terroristic bombing and wanton killing conducted by Israel in Palestine), as well as a mass exodus of millions to Russia and the EU, runaway corruption, and a neonazi regime, have made Ukraine into a modern catastrophe, amply meriting the sobriquet of "Country 404". At this point, says Garland, Russia, barring an all-out nuclear war with the West, a war with no winners, is the victor in this clash and the sole power that will decide the future of Ukraine and probably the whole region.

Ukraine, says Garland, is a US proxy, a tool, it does not have the true autonomy of a sovereign nation. Further, it is a mask, behind which NATO powers hide their direct participation in hostilities against Russia. NATO (including the US), notes Garland, according to statements by Ukrainians, sends the weapons but also often operates such advanced weapons (i.e., HIMARS, Storm Shadow, etc), choosing the targets, and providing the targeting data for all these terrorist attacks. The aim is to continue to inflict pain and disruption in Russia, part of America's longstanding strategy for world domination, which can't tolerate truly sovereign nations, let alone peer powers on the global sphere. Russia has understood this to be the purpose of the Ukraine War from the first, and now is telling the West that it's fed up with these games, and won't tolerate these cowardly and hypocritical maneuvers any longer. If the West wants to fight Russia, OK, let's go, says Moscow. Let's do this one and for all. It's obvious where the blame falls for this disgraceful situation that endangers the whole world.

Meanwhile, fascist ideology and blatant lies also permeate the consciousness of most people in the West.
