Russ Dobular interviews fans of Pod Dave America in Brooklyn and the results are discouraging, to put it mildly. The people—all aparently middle class and comfortable, seem conformist about the state of American "democracy", alarmingly disinformed, and uncaring about most of the major issues confronting the world. One never heard of Julian Assange and could care less about his fate. The DD hosts wonder how you can spark a revolution with a population so lacking in basic knowledge or interest about social and political realities.

What an excellent, and frightening expose of the total political blindness of the US liberal bourgeoisie (and this is the dominant class in the US). One can hardly blame them as they are indoctrinated from childhood on with nationalist propaganda, xenophobia and self-confidence about their narrow superior judgment. It is an induced provincialism at its worst and very hard to eradicate as every news and cultural output keeps them in shackles.
