Arrogance, sense of superiority and invulnerability, fanaticism, or simple idiocy (especially in the case of Ukraine) may be at work explaining the behaviour of these two nations as they actively work with Washington to accelerate their demise—political, economic, and possibly physical, too—through bigger wars which may engulf all of humanity, suggests Garland. But, says Garland, turning philosophical, we all die anyhow, and in 100 years, not to mention 1,000 or 1 Million years, our existence will be forgotten, practically an illusion, something that left no real mark on the annals of time.
