Colonel Lawrence “Larry” Wilkerson (US Army Ret.) is a smart, passionate and astute analyst, whose commentary regarding current events in Ukraine and the Levant is top tier. He also is a survivor of the Deep State and witnessed how policy and politics clash, out of the view of the public. Retired Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, former chief of staff to United States Secretary of State Colin Powell, joins Counter Currents host and former CIA analyst Larry Johnson to provide an inside look on how the Bush administration bungled the Iraq War and US-Russian relations.
Turning momentarily to the leaked intel reports regarding Israel’s preparations for a strike on Iran, today’s angry reaction from official Washington persuades me that these reports are legit. It is unknown whether or not this was a deliberate leak. Was it a leak with the tacit approval of Biden’s National Security team to sabotage Israel’s planned retaliation? Or was it an unauthorized action taken by an analyst or a policymaker who is alarmed by Israel’s planned attack and saw the leak as a way to derail Israeli retaliation?
There is another possibility — a foreign asset with access to Five Eyes intel leaked the reports but blamed it on a US intelligence source. Looks like the FBI will be busy trying to sort this out. I suspect the Zionists are hopping mad, but there is little they can do about this. The intel reports, assuming they are legit, contain data collected by US spy satellites, something that Israel has no control over.
I also believe that Russia and China, who have their own fleet of spy satellites that gather the same kind of overhead imagery, are carefully monitoring Israel’s activities at its major airfields and will be able to give Iran advance warning if Israel’s ops tempo escalates in preparation for a strike. I think Russia and China also are coordinating efforts to prevent or mitigate an Israeli attack on Iran because they appreciate how an Israeli missile or bomb assault on Iranian oil or nuclear facilities could ignite a conflagration in the Middle East.
