TYRANNY TESTED

Or not.  Barring a decisive win, even with it, there will be raging turmoil.  The country is in such an advanced state of chaotic imbecility that furious disturbance, at a minimum, seems certain.

There are good reasons for this sense of impending turbulence but the deep, underlying cause—like the subterranean, volcanic churning that precedes an earthquake—is that our decayed and decomposed system no longer makes any effective pretense to govern for The People that Abe Lincoln once spoke about.

Capitalism, the most viciously predatory iteration of the Dismal Science in history, has had its way with the human and living world.  In its takeover, it has irremediably despoiled the native home of life, and reduced the mass of its people to the abject misery and degradation of mental, moral, economic slaves, for the revolting privilege of a tiny cadre of cannibal monsters.

America, The Empire of Evil, has driven this race to extinction.  In its century of ascendancy, it has succeeded, through violence, fraud, and propaganda, in poisoning the last remnants of the ethical and ecological biomes that sustained life for millennia, and cut and burnt away every measure of value but money.

Now, the Old Guard of entitled wealth and control is in dubious battle with a newer faction of excluded and resentful billionaires, vying desperately—the one, to defend its long, proprietary status as The Empire's noblesse, the other, to break down the breached walls of the old fortress of arrogant privilege—to capture the flag.

It is a spectacle, a grand joust of the Knights of Capitalism, and there will be many lances broken before there is stasis.  Stasis: not resolution.  That will never be.  Not until the lunatic reign of these ghouls is shattered and overthrown.  Behind this putrid Grand Guignol, there is nothing of possible benefit to a people these solipsistic monstrosities abuse, which has suffered their villainy from the very founding of our bogus “democracy”.

This people, torpid, passive, and maleducated as they are, no longer buy the jive of their cynical Capitalist carny barkers.  Both gangs are despised by one half of our sorry electorate, for good reasons they don’t even understand, after being fed generations of raw bullshit about all that is real, and that impacts their lives.

Passionate partisans of the two morally bereft psychopaths—outnumbered by those who won’t vote at all—are caught up in the ruling class's Gotcha Game—voting—still persuaded Lucy won’t snatch the football away the moment they go to kick it.

The only thing the two sets of hysterics share is a deep and disturbing sense that everything is going wrong.  That is, in fact, the only thing they’re both right about.

It’s not complicated.  The Empire, like every empire before it, does nothing—absolutely nothing!—for its impotent people. It sucks all the money out of the country, curtails and cripples all opportunity and benefit, contributes nothing to the general welfare (promised in the Constitution), cons and diddles its citizens with idiot “entertainment”, and offers them only reflected glory from the mass murder its War Machine inflicts on the world.

When you have a government that does nothing but cheat its people, and lie to them as if they were defective children; one that does nothing to elevate or support them; one whose chief aim is to exploit their labor and energy and keep them down; one whose whole purpose is to deceive them into idolizing their abusers, and paying for that privilege on their knees, then you have no government at all: you have bald faced, brutal tyranny.

All this sordid reality is hidden from the masses, behind a thick smoke screen of deceit which, pushed to the limits of infantile blather, is losing its impenetrability.  People—ordinary, limited, naive, unsuspecting people—have finally begun to catch on. It is this slow, somnolent wising up that is behind the fierce animosity produced by our presidential Punch and Judy farce.

One part of the people is furious because they are sure the forces of privilege are conniving to screw them out of their only security: being white, native born, “normal”, “real” Americans, legitimizing evil aliens, sexual deviants, apostasists, and economic traitors.

The other clings to what they deem, in spite of all evidence, a wise, benevolent, educated, decent class pledged to democracy, working to save the world by murdering it into Americanism, and beset by a horde of gross, vulgar, violent Know-nothings.

What, if anything good, can come of this?

Well… nothing, directly.  The only good outcome of this political mud wrestling is one that is hard to describe as good.  That is, that there will be such widespread and cataclysmic revulsion at the obscene charade that it will soon bring the implosion of our barbarous tyranny, and the permanent demolition of the steel shackles of dirty and disgraced Capitalist government.

That cannot be accomplished peacefully.  There will be blood.  Only chaos produces dissolution.  But only dissolution replaces what is dead with what is new.  In all nature, which brute, venal Capitalism has so terribly wounded, what is dead is recycled and sprouts in green, fresh life.  It may be so with our raped and brutalized country and polity.

After the Constitutional Convention, a woman asked Franklin what we had.  He said, “A republic, if you can keep it.”  We have not kept it.  What we have is rotten, and must be buried.
