As Dean Parker has noted elsewhere, notorious warmonger and hypocrite Samantha Power wants to know if Russia “is even capable of shame.”
Careerist to the core, Power, a bully by nature, has been an eager battering ram for the Obama administration, a regime that has by now broken all-time records for sheer hypocrisy. In this regard, it is depressing to see that literally millions of liberals continue to see nothing but a “nice guy”, “better than Bush!” in this cynical war criminal.
Washington’s assault on Syria, of course, has been built on high-handed lies from the beginning, starting with the sordid but extremely significant fact, never mentioned by the whores in the mainstream media, that ISIS, the ubiquitous terrorist threat that Washington claims to be fighting and wishing to destroy, was actually a creation of Washington (going back to Jimmy Carter and rabid russophobe national security advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski), a proxy army, one we could even call it a Frankensteinian foreign legion, that the policy planners in the seat of the empire wish to maintain for future mischief in other zones of manufactured conflict. This assemblage of murderous fanatics is so vile that even Pentagon officers, including some in the highest echelons, and to their eternal credit, have shown reluctance in playing Obama’s two-faced game.
As the tragic cases of Iraq, Libya and now Syria and Yemen amply prove, the new levels of savage and largely indiscriminate violence promoted by the empire has necessitated a commensurate level of odious mendacity to seize and deform the narrative, but such things come easy in the land of the free. For mendacity is plentiful in the United States, a culture where professional deception is actually a huge industry with many tentacles, from advertising to public relations and a growing sub-industry of political disinformers, the infamous “spin doctors” regarded as indispensable in all serious US political contests.
Unfortunately, as seen in Syria, lies can kill, by the hundreds of thousands, and dislocate the lives of tens of millions. But none of this matters to the self-righteous agents of the empire. Power represents just about the worst and most revolting of this breed, an indecent person with apparently no redeeming qualities whatsoever. If nothing else, women like Power should remind bourgeois feminists of the folly of attaching too much significance to gender. For Samantha Power, along with her colleagues Susan Rice and other imperial apologists and “national security advisors” in skirts have shown the world that, when it comes to complicity in mass murder, females are not morally superior to men.
UN: ‘As if she was Mother Teresa herself’ Churkin slams US Envoy’s Aleppo accusations

Russian Ambassador to the United Nations, Vitali Churkin, hit back at comments made by his US counterpart, Samantha Power at a UN Security Council meeting on Aleppo in New York City, Monday saying she “built her statement as if she was Mother Teresa herself.”
SOT, Samantha Power, US Ambassador to the United Nations (English): “To the Assad regime, Russia and Iran, 3 member states behind the conquest of and carnage in Aleppo, you bear responsibility for these atrocities by rejecting UN ICRC evacuation efforts, you are signalling to those militia who are massacring innocents to keep doing what they are doing, denying or obfuscating the facts as you will do today, saying up is down, and black is white will not absolve you, when one day there is a full accounting of the horrors committed in this assault of Aleppo, and that day will come sooner or later, you will not be able to say you did not know what was happening, you will not be able to say you were not involved, we all know what was happening and we all know you were involved. Aleppo will join the ranks of those events in world history, that define modern evil that stain our conscience decades later, Halabja, Rwanda, Srebrenica and now Aleppo. To the Assad regime, Russia and Iran, your forces and proxies are carrying out these crimes, your barrel bombs and mortars and airstrikes have allowed the militia to encircle tens of thousands of civilians in your ever tightening noose, it is your noose, 3 member states of the UN contributing to a noose around civilians, it should shame you.”
SOT, Vitali Churkin, Russian Ambassador to the United Nations (Russian): “I do not want to remind the Western Troika which called for today’s meeting and carried it out on a raised voice, about its role in the creation of ISIS as a result of US-UK intervention in Iraq and US policy in this country. I do not want to remind about the role that these three countries played in unwinding the Syrian crisis, which resulted in such a dire consequences and gave the space to terrorist organisations on the territories of Iraq and Syria. But the speech by US representative is particularly strange to me, which built her statement as if she is Mother Theresa herself. Please, remember which country you represent. Please, remember the track record of your country.”
