Now, you have to hand it to the fake Resistance … this Nazi hysteria is good for everyone. Not only is it an easier sell than that ridiculous Russian hacking nonsense (because Trump really is a racist, of course), but it’s something the broader Left can embrace, as it plugs straight into identity politics, which is pretty much all we’ve got these days.

The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found
In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” -- acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. C. J. Hopkins has written a great article! “The United States of Manufactured Hysteria” has been going on for a very long time in the U.S. As foolish (not to the victims, of course) as it seems, it began in the 1970s with fear building around the few wing nuts who tampered with pain relief remedies and the even wackier wing nuts who scared a few kids and hordes of adults on Halloween. It reached its apogee with the attacks of September 2001 and the ever-present fear and loathing is well reflected in this article. Of course, much of the… Read more »
