STEPHEN LENDMAN—In the past two days, hundreds more terrorists were eliminated, Konashenkov explained, many more wounded, seven field commanders killed, a training center destroyed – plus nine strongholds, weapons, munitions and equipment. Since Russia intervened in Syria at the request of its government on September 30, 2015, it conducted an impressive 30,000 sorties, delivered 92,000 strikes on terrorist positions, killing around 58,000 ISIS and al-Nusra fighters.
