JOSEPH KISHORE—The outbreak of political warfare within the Republican Party is the latest episode in a conflict within the American state that raged throughout the Trump election campaign and has intensified over the ten months of his administration. Central to this struggle are differences over foreign policy, with Trump’s Republican opponents denouncing his brand of “America First” ultra-nationalism as destructive of US global dominance, particularly in regard to relations with Washington’s traditional allies and the political/military offensive against Russia and China.

The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found
In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” -- acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. At that point all the free market will balance itself, deregulate, lower taxes on the rich, trickle down of the republicons was shown to be a failure as it laad to collapse, not investment and a bigger pie. The entire philosophical basis for what few ideas the republicons had was blown to bits in that moment. No longer having any real ideas or workable philosophy the republicons are reduced to aggressive posturing, screaming, feces hurling and flashing their bare buttocks to avoid facing any discussion. They… Read more »
