The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found
In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” -- acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. That ain’t Donald Trump -- a pitifully shallow and ill-disciplined man, emotionally handicapped by obscene privilege and cognitively crippled by white American chauvinism. By pushing Trump into a corner and demanding that he display his most bellicose self, or be ceaselessly mocked as a “puppet” and minion of Russia, a lesser power, the War Party and its media and clandestine services have created a perfect storm of mayhem that may consume us all.— Glen Ford, Editor in Chief, Black Agenda Report

For years the editors here have debated publishing a roster of notorious media scoundrels pushing for imperial wars and defending the privileges of the global plutocracy. It has always been put side as superfluous, since the corporate media is literally saturated with these filthy accomplices in high imperial crimes, and practically all major figures, from the usually silent owners setting the tone and pulling te strings to their top execs and thousands of presstitutes and entertainers delivering the message are in on this colossal racket. The system is so immoral and inured to public pressure (mostly non-existent in this benighted… Read more »
It is highly debatable if former colonies of a rotten system would form a bulwark against the aggressive European drive for supremacy. But that has not been the case and in fact these colonies, Australia and the USA have proven to be imperialist on steroids. The mass of emigrants who took with them the promise to ameliorate the fate of their compatriots by fine European 18th century enlightenment fantasies, succeeded in ruining the indigenous populations by their occupation of so-called primitive and unsettled lands (Israel has taken over that kind of mistaken self-delusion). In the US there is now a… Read more »
