The Best Definition of Donald Trump We Have Found
In his zeal to prove to his antagonists in the War Party that he is as bloodthirsty as their champion, Hillary Clinton, and more manly than Barack Obama, Trump seems to have gone “play-crazy” -- acting like an unpredictable maniac in order to terrorize the Russians into forcing some kind of dramatic concessions from their Syrian allies, or risk Armageddon. However, the “play-crazy” gambit can only work when the leader is, in real life, a disciplined and intelligent actor, who knows precisely what actual boundaries must not be crossed. That ain’t Donald Trump -- a pitifully shallow and ill-disciplined man, emotionally handicapped by obscene privilege and cognitively crippled by white American chauvinism. By pushing Trump into a corner and demanding that he display his most bellicose self, or be ceaselessly mocked as a “puppet” and minion of Russia, a lesser power, the War Party and its media and clandestine services have created a perfect storm of mayhem that may consume us all.— Glen Ford, Editor in Chief, Black Agenda Report
“People like Ocasio can still find us if they did just a bit of research. Obviously these people don’t.” I’m not sure who wrote that, but I’m guessing it was one of the editors of The Greanville Post. I think it was an unfair criticism. We must try to raise the awareness of people like Ocasio, but do not blame them for their ignorant origins. Malcolm X apparently said, “Don’t be in such a hurry to condemn a person because he doesn’t do what you do, or think as you think or as fast. There was a time when you… Read more »
I think you are wrong Eric. Your tolerance for this kind of liberal self-inflicted ignorance is, admittedly, far greater than mine, almost saintly. With the arrival of the Internet, all you need is to be persistent in doing wide searches and something is bound to pop up that sounds like well outside your accustomed perimeter. Then you read it. Then you test it against reality, as well as you can ascertain it. Reality is still there despite the manipulations. This process, which is relatively intuitive, is accessible to any intelligent person, it’s used in science, of course, all the time.… Read more »
You are on to something here, Peter.
I saw an interview with her on Youtube and also noted her buy in to the anti Russian propaganda and her emphasis on national issues while totally ignoring the role of the military and aggressive foreign policy. So I found a contact email for her and sent on clearly delineating why the charges against Russian meddling are absurd on their face, long since debunked by Binney and McGovern, yet totally ignored. It’s like the ‘folks, the Earth’s not flat and here is the proof’, yet people keep in believing it. I also pointed out that none of her positive social… Read more »
