You don’t have to be pro-Trump to celebrate he’s recklessly discombobulating if not seriously damaging many essential parts of the imperialist organism.
The confusion generated by the intra-class war among the ruling elites, with one wing, the older establishment wishing to continue with business as usual, that is, ever more wars and expansion of the already grotesquely bloated “defense budget” and an unyielding push for global hegemony at any cost, and the wing represented by Trump, who sees little profit in blowing up the world, has not yet grasped that America is not a nation but an empire, and prefers more manageable conflicts (if still murderous engagements), has reached such levels of toxicity, that practically all the usual signposts have been blown away. Thus, some people on the right have emerged as having, overall, a healthier and more lucid perspective on world affairs than that of mainstream liberals (“the left” as they are still erroneusly perceived by many). Thus in a scandalous political ambit throughout the West where the real left seems to have mysteriously imploded, it’s now hard to locate any antiwar forces with a beating heart. But, alas, nature and power abhor a vacuum, and the result is staunch conservatives like Tucker Carlson fighting the good fight. Has every category that meant anything in politics been pulverised? Whatever the answer, there are no real leftists of any stripe in the mainstream pushing against the insanity of a nuclear war, by accretion, I suppose, like the frog in the boiling pot, which is exactly what millions of certifiable idiots in the Democrat whorehouse are agitating for as they cheerfully do the bidding of the Deep State, yea, that entity, which does exist in plain sight, even if it is not so much a formal structure as a permanent confluence of dominant ruling class interests, outside, above, below and beyond the whole electoral bullshit. The precise makeup of the Deep State changes a bit over time—all power configurations evolve—and in the US these days it is basically an alliance of Wall Street with the MIC. Since the propaganda apparatus has become more indispensable than ever to maintain the legitimacy of an emperor too many people are finally seeing totally naked, the media barons and their whores are now more integrated into the Deep State than ever before.
OK, the preceding was my admittedly meandering way of introducing you to Daniel Carter, a man of the right, I presume, who has some interesting things to say. He wrote this for an outfit called investmentwatchblog.com. —PG

Citizens of the US have become increasingly suspicious of their government over the past several years. The internet has decentralized the flow of information in such a way that it has become much more difficult for government to control the populace through their carefully crafted narratives. In a new poll conducted by Monmouth University, 74% of the respondents said they now believe the Deep State is manipulating policy.
Monmouth University defined “Deep State” simply as a group of unelected officials. Let’s expand on the term a bit more. These unelected officials manipulate government policy to serve the interests of the extremely powerful and wealthy. This includes weapons manufacturers, oil companies, the intel community, large banks, pharmaceutical companies, surveillance companies (e.g. Google, Facebook, etc.) and more.
Ever since the Federal Reserve was created in 1913, powerful interest groups have steadily gained more power within our government. Now it is almost entirely a government that represents the powerful elite instead of the people. Trump’s unusual style of governance may finally be alerting the masses to this travesty.
“I want to get out. I want to bring our troops back home. I want to start rebuilding our nation. It’s time. We were successful against ISIS. We’ll be successful against anybody militarily, but sometimes it’s time to come back home — and we’re thinking about that very seriously.”
This directly contradicts the Pentagon’s long-term plans for that region. In fact, the CIA has discussed plans in secret documents (now declassified) that date back to 1986. These plans, of course, are to further control the natural resources of the Middle East.
The Pentagon was unhappy with Trump’s statements, and the leftists immediately accused Trump of purposely ceding the Syrian territory to Russia. Trump was eventually forced to change his mind, and now the plans are to keep troops in Syria indefinitely. However, this was not a complete loss. By having his wishes overridden, Trump showed the world who is really in control.
The POTUS is supposed to be the Commander in Chief, which means he is supposed to have supreme control over the US military. We were instead shown that the power of the Pentagon and the CIA supersedes Trump’s power. This confirms the ominous presence of the Deep State.
It doesn’t stop there. Consider this Twitter exchange involving Trump, Samantha Power (Obama’s ambassador to the UN) and John Brennan (Former CIA Director):
Samantha Power and John Brennan went after Trump — in what many would consider a threatening manner — after he fired Andrew McCabe from the FBI. Trump was well within his rights to fire someone he found to be corrupt and a bad fit for the position. However, the Deep State thought differently.
They have been so used to getting their way for so long that they openly threatened to subvert a democratically elected president. To them, maintaining the power of the entrenched elite is more important than the will of the people. Again, this confirmed the public’s suspicion of the Deep State.
Trump should keep following his instincts and loudly speak his mind about various issues. The Deep State has become so bold and eager to maintain power that they will expose themselves by challenging Trump. He is by no means a perfect president, but Trump can do a huge service to this country by exposing the Deep State. Look for more confrontations between Trump and the Deep State to come.
“The Pentagon was unhappy with Trump’s statements, and the leftists immediately accused Trump of purposely ceding the Syrian territory to Russia. ” This is the only thing I would take exception with. If everything political has been co-opted, why not “leftist”. The people the right calls leftists are all the neoliberals that fled the GOP as the Tea Party became ascendant and the corporate Democrats they joined forces with. The true “leftists” are opposed to the “centrists” that the right branded as “leftists” and the batshit crazy rightwing and religious zealots that took over the Republican Party. If only you… Read more »
You are absolutely correct. The label “left” was hijacked by the liberals a long time ago, becaues on some relatively superficial (but important issues to social conservaitves) they sood on the opposite pole. BUT on every structural issue they wre and remain indistinguishable from the rightsts: imperial wars, capitalsm, all the ills and crime sthat come with that package. So in reality,it is the liberals AND the right that have perpetrated this sleight of hand, and in te process further alienating the uneducated masses from the idea of the left—the true left, which liberal betrayals and maneuvering continue to defame.
