[dropcap]A[/dropcap] report by CBS This Morning. Not exactly balanced—they give too much attention to the industry and little time to the animal defenders, as if both sides had equal merit—but we’ll take it, considering the terrible scarcity of good reports on issues of this kind. It’s clear that Mayor DeBlasio has been put on the spot by a series of setbacks, mini-scandals, and treachery, including from his own party (you guessed it, that Netanyahu-ass-kissing scoundrel Andy Cuomo has done everything he can to trip DeBlasio and keep him from gaining traction as a major national figure), and that has raised the value of his friends—any friends or allies—to keep him buoyant as a respected player. Of course, we could make the argument that he might simply “see the light” and throw the game to the horse-drawn carriage crowd, which doesn’t lack for friends in high places, including know-nothing interloper Liam Neesson, and just about every newspaper in the metro area. (Local TV has been more willing to present both sides, albeit with the usual flaws, as noted earlier.)
