EDITOR—Garland discusses the tragicomic debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, one a semi-demented war criminal and crook barely able to remain coherent for a few minutes, and the other a narcissistic, massively ignorant buffoon who in his own bombastic way personalizes the appalling state of the US empire. Garland opines that the current Democrat runners of the empire are a sorry incompetent and sociopathic lot who seem utterly unable to extricate themselves and the country from the idiocies they have shoved the US in, from a growing spate of unwinnable wars, from Ukraine to Israel to China, to an election almost certain to lose, no matter who represents them—whether Biden, Kamala Harris, or another similarly unappealing candidate in the wings. From the latest pathetic selection of presidential candidates to the no-win, reckless and stupid policies pursued by the US across the globe, it’s clear the American Empire is fast approaching collapse. Such collapse, warns Garland, cannot be avoided by the injection of ever bigger lies into the social dialog, from the insane idea that Ukraine is winning the war, or that China and Russia are dangerous and evil players in international affairs, to the manufactured notion that anti-semitism (as opposed to anti-zionism) is on the rise, and that Israel, in the name of “self-defense”, is perfectly justified in using genocidal violence against the Palestinian people.

EDITOR—Garland and Marouf discuss the latest developments in the Middle East, especially the way Israel may precipitate a major regional and possibly global conflagration with its planned attack on Lebanon. The situation does not look that promising for Israel, which has suffered heavy losses in its genocidal war against Palestinians, despite US/NATO support, as the Axis of Resistance (Lebanon/Hezbollah), Iraq militias, the Houthis, and Iran, will not accept defeat this time under any circumstances.

EDITOR—A tour de force analysis of how the US Empire is imploding, as it fights its multiplying contradictions and the collapse of long-held myths giving it legitimacy—starting with the illusion of American democracy, freedom, and ruling class patriotism—while its military supremacy is also eroding fast and has actually been surpassed by peer nations such as Russia and China. In this context, the Western totalitarian ruling class sees no way out from the necessity of imposing ever more stringent censorship and repression on sectors of the population that insist on spreading “inconvenient truths”. Same extreme methods are being used to keep the Empire’s vassals in line, which the Empie is cannibilising. Trump obviously offers no real change, but, as a super imperialist anchored in nationalism, he promises to make the working class gets its share of the imperialist loot.

Joti Brar, a leader of Britain’s Communist Party (ML), is eloquent and masterful in her analysis of North Korea’s heroic and exemplary struggle for survival and independence in the face of the most vicious enemy of humankind in modern times: US imperialism. With Russia as a formal ally, the people of North Korea can accelerate their development in all social and strategic fields, and no longer worry about diplomatic isolation, sadistic attacks or the strangulation of their revolution via starvation. Moscow, who has stood by North Korea since its birth, and has often been, and still is, like Pyongyang, the target of NATO’s depraved fury, fully understands her suffering, and also her immense value as a military ally.

GARLAND NIXON—The SK people had deposed US-puppet dictator Syngman Rhee in a massive popular uprising in April of 1960. Not long after the popular uprising, Park Chung Hee launched a military coup of the elected civilian government, taking power with 20 armed divisions and forcing the resignation of the civilian government. The leader of the army met with JFK on May 24th, and by June, the US had fully approved the coup. NK was worried Park would attack NK (he had spent the whole half of his early career trying to hunt down guerrilla leader Kim Il Sung in Manchuria for the Japanese imperial army. NK was worried about this, anticipated a new war by SK, and signed treaties of mutual aid with both the USSR and China by July of 1961.
