Glenn Greenwald
GLENN GREENWALD is a journalist, former constitutional lawyer, and author of four New York Times bestselling books on politics and law. His most recent book, “No Place to Hide,” is about the U.S. surveillance state and his experiences reporting on the Snowden documents around the world. His forthcoming book, to be published in April, 2021, is about Brazilian history and current politics, with a focus on his experience in reporting a series of exposés in 2019 and 2020 which exposed high-level corruption by powerful officials in the government of President Jair Bolsonaro, which subsequently attempted to prosecute him for that reporting. Foreign Policy magazine named Greenwald one of the top 100 Global Thinkers for 2013. He was the debut winner, along with “Democracy Now’s” Amy Goodman, of the Park Center I.F. Stone Award for Independent Journalism in 2008, and also received the 2010 Online Journalism Award for his investigative work breaking the story of the abusive detention conditions of Chelsea Manning.

Interview: Legal Scholar Jonathan Turley on “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage”
3 minutes readEDITOR—Glenn chats with Prof. Jonathan Turley, one of America’s foremost scholars on Constitutional Law and author of The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage. Turley warns about the enormous advances of the “censorship industry”, an underhanded offshoot of the MICIMATT, currently focusing on tightening controls on the official narrative by cynically curtailing free speech in the name of protecting Americans from “disinformation”. Ironically, it is precisely the US establishment, also called “the Deep State,” that is and remains the main originator and disseminator of global disinformation. Just about everything it says about current and past realities, from the nature of the US political system (hint: it ain’t a democracy), to the facts about Russia, Iran, Putin, China, the Ukraine War and the Israeli genocide on Palestinians—among other things—is a total lie, the world upside down. In this Orwellian framework, a powerful obstacle is the US Constitution’s First Amendment, offering all Americans the absolute right to Free Speech, as a human right, notes Prof. Turley.

EDITORS—That is the question, indeed, but the war-addicted duopoly swamp produces no miracles, and Biden is just a typical product of such rotten environment. Just his behaviour in regard to Gaza and Ukraine certifies him as a war criminal.

EDITOR—Glenn dissects the Biden debate disaster and the many political implications of this revelation, exposing the huge lie behind the Democrat media flunkies who kept telling the American people Biden was alright, and that he could be entrusted with the top job for another four years. The manipulating hacks even chose to deny the truth in so many images of Biden showing his age, dementia and frailty (as during his trip to Europe), claiming that such images were “cheapfakes”. The Biden courtiers are shown first following the official script before the debate, assuring the public that Biden was still sharp as a tack and ready to assume any task, and then, after the debate and panic set in, changing course 180 degrees, like a herd of stampeding buffalos.

EDITOR—In this special edition of his program SYSTEM UPDATE Glenn Greenwald tackles the bipartisan and fully illegal dismantlement of the rights to free speech guaranteed by the American Constitution by a majority of members of Congress obviously acting on behalf of interests that have no regard for the US Constitution.
