RAMIN MAZAHERI—Telling the tale [about the Iran missile attack] properly the day after is the work known as “journalism”: journalism is the history of yesterday, after all. It’s not easy, but are Western journalists not doing the work here, or are they wilfully lying?

That’s a real question, because any decent journalist today (and any average citizen who wishes to be well-informed) knows the modern media landscape requires examining three areas where news can now be found: the MSM, the alternative media and social media.

On social media there’s no lack of videos which show Iranian missiles striking land time and time again.

RAMIN MAZAHERI—What would have happened is merely this, and I have seen France’s tested CRS riot police defeated many a time in France: a mass of protesters, enraged at the limitation on their dearly-held bourgeois democratic rights of free assembly and speech, push past the cops and merely go protest a few hundred feet closer than where they were.

That is merely what we wanted at the 2024 DNC, but the numbers were not there: Chicagoans stayed at home, and not enough outsiders thought the DNC protest was worth making a trek to.

RAMIN MAZAHERI—More accurate, however, is celebrating the fact that the French left has once again proven to be the most leftist in the pre-1991 West. Yes, Labor won power in the UK just a few days ago, but nobody can compare Labor’s platform with that of La France Insoumise (France Unbowed).

Facing a far-right threat – and Macron is, I must remind you, far-right in terms of economics, democracy, foreign policy, etc – the French people stood up to the would-be dictators and bullies.

RAMIN MAZAHERI—The story of “Mexico” – which is to say, of the entire nation – is one of a political unity and optimism which is statistically and culturally rather incredible in 2024. The OECD noted this prior to the vote: Mexicans have more economic optimism about the future than any other major economy in the world (they are tied with Costa Rica and bested only by Denmark). And then you have the results of the elections… what a story.

RAMIN MAZAHERI—On a practical level – could Ukraine have not gone down the path they have chosen?

Absolutely, and easily – but it is a failed state, with a failed ideology, structures, goals, etc and etc. Todd accurately stresses how the proofs of this suicide are legion. What else can we call but suicidal Kiev’s decision to keep courting a totally uninterested (and rapacious, I’d add) EU instead of Russia, with whom its major industries were already linked? A “victory” there is economic suicide, unless they can vastly expand the production of surrogate babies. What can we call the elimination of the Russian language, church and culture – all inextricably linked and seemingly dialects of the same concepts – but more suicidal self-hatred?
