Her independence, and her fierce criticisms of Israel and US imperialism support for the Ukraine War, plus scathing attacks on the scoundrel media, sealed her fate. While they were to many an example of principled politics, the Irish media painted her and Mick Wallace as “an embarrassment and a disgrace” to Ireland.
