GODFREE ROBERTS—His Rural Cooperative Medical System trained Barefoot Doctors – who lived in their villages all their lives and were available day and night – to administer vaccinations, demonstrate correct handling of pesticides, introduce new sanitation methods and, by teaching nutrition and child care, cut infant and maternal mortality in half. Urban doctors, now required to tour the countryside, provided free treatment and trained promising barefoot doctors at urban hospitals. By the end of 1976, every village in China had a clinic and the death rate had fallen by 18%.

His conclusion is that Israelis and Palestinians are both locked in a long-term revolutionary struggle with mutually exclusive goals, the Israelis committed to build a biblical “Greater Israel” at the expense of all Arabs, and the Palestinians sworn to create an independent state in the old lands of Palestine, currently occupied by transplanted settler colonialist Jews. Crooke sees no short-term resolution to this conflict, unless the greater powers intervene, which could precipitate WW3.

Just as they did to the Amerindians in their three century war of extermination, ethnic cleansing and land theft, as they established the “new Jerusalem” of ethnic supremacy; personified by the racist bigot President Wilson who spun a good yarn about “freedom” while bringing the very opposite to not only many foreigners but also the US population.
