EDITOR—Content like this, featuring images of terrible suffering by Palestinians in the latest clash between Gaza and Israel highlights the shameless hypocrisy of the West as it applies selective empathy to the media coverage assigned to this immense tragedy. We don’t see ppl crying on the mainstream media when it’s Palestinians. We don’t see Dana Bash, Anderson Cooper and their ilk tearing up over these images. What we do see is how effectively they bury such material.

The Roots of Radicalism and the Structure of Evil
35 Mins readED CURTIN—I felt ashamed to live in a land where justice is a game reserved for rhetoric alone as it joins in the massacre of the innocent, as it always has, now together with the apartheid Israeli regime.
I thought of all the compromised politicians who pledge their allegiance to the killers, Biden and all his presidential predecessors, now including the aspirant Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a man with a conscience on many important issues whom I have supported in his quest for the presidency, but a man whose conscience has abandoned him when it comes to the Palestinians, as Scott Ritter has recently documented.

WARRIOR UPDATE WITH SCOTT RITTER – UKRAINE ON THE BRINK + SINKABLE AND UNSINKABLE AIRCRAFT CARRIERS
65 Mins readEDITOR—Ukraine is finished, says Scott Ritter, its key resource, manpower, depleted, and the West has retrained its sights and military aid on Israel. The only question now is how long can this farcical and also tragic act continue, and who will be there to negotiate terms with Russia for a postwar Ukraine, assuming there is one with a semblance of sovereignty. One thing is certain, NATO influence will not be tolerated. PLUS: Why the IDF can’t take on Hamas, let alone the rest of the Islamic warriors.

JIM KAVANAGH—THAAD is a system for intercepting ballistic missiles. Neither Hamas nor Hezbollah has ballistic missiles; Iran does.
This level of U.S. military force is not being deployed to the region to make a “show,” to mediate, to keep the peace, or to deter war. The entire world sees and knows that the U.S. has just committed its military might to the “unconditional” support of Israel/Zionist colonialism against the Palestinians—not just for “defense” but for active support in any offensive action Israel takes, starting with the offense against the helpless people of Gaza.

EDITOR—Israel has unleashed a horrific war of collective punishment against the people of Gaza, the latest in a long history of anti-Palestinian oppression. As corporate media shamelessly provides cover for what is undoubtedly a genocide unfolding in real time, the need to ground our understanding of the conflict in its proper history is more important than ever. Norman Finkelstein joins The Chris Hedges Report to discuss Israel’s 17 year blockade of Gaza and its crucial significance to understanding the events of the past two weeks.
