AEARNUR—What has led to this is a series of both enormous errors and egregious crimes by the collective west by which I mean the USA, UK and their allies/proxies and puppet nations.

The desire to obtain hegemonic global rule and oversight by those above have brought them to venture over the brink of disaster and we find them now plunging helpless into the abyss, their own self-created abyss.

The hubris of the USA has been a continual feature of its totally arrogant and misplaced pride as it has proceeded to bully all those who presented a challenge to its demanded authority.

KARL SANCHEZ—The most common violation is interference in the internal/domestic affairs of member nations. Most grievous is violation of Article 4. Upon the Charter’s entering into legal force on 24 October 1945, the USA was in the process of interfering in the domestic affairs of the USSR and numerous other member nations. It was also providing aid to known Nazi elements in Soviet Ukraine and aiding known Nazi War Criminals to escape justice for the crimes they committed. As such, the USA was also in violation of Articles 2, 3, 4, and 5. Those violations continued unabated and others were added as time moved forward.

EDITOR—A wide-ranging discussion on imperialism. The panel discusses the nature of Western imperialism and its nasty tendency to use all manner of dirty tricks, from global demonisation to blackmail, regime change ops, including organising proxy groups such as ISIS, economic warfare (sanctions), long-term insurgencies, and vicious targeted terrorism. Billy Bob clarifies that usually “imperialism” is chiefly understood in two forms: The Marxist-Leninist way which sees imperialism as merely the latest and most developed (and decaying) phase of capitalism, finance capitalism, and the more bourgeois, liberal interpretation, which sees imperialism simply as a big nation oppressing and exploiting weaker ones.  In general, the panel agrees that, as a rule, imperialism exists when an entity—Britain, France, the US—uses the powers of the state to conquer and maintain markets around the globe, largely because capitalism, especially in the imperialist phase, needs constant expansion to survive. Carlo and Ian point out that from domestic labour disturbances, where the state can intervene in favor of the oligarchs, or allow private armies (i.e., Pinkertons, etc.) to be used against the working class, to open international intervention using national state resources such as the armed forces (Marines, navy, army, etc.) the capitalists who control the bourgeois state as a class, utllize the national might to benefit their own interests, often at the expense of the masses.

EDITOR—The selling of US imperialist foreign policy has long proceeded like comic strips plots in which the superheroes scour the globe looking for evildoers. When bad guys are found, intervention is a must on “humanitarian grounds.” That’s the official “American Way”—for suckers or 10 year olds. Yet, above all, this glaringly deceitful line hides the US empire’s crimes from the American people. Crimes that now threaten their own survival.  And, by the way, there is NO DEEP STATE. There’s only the US imperialist state. 

PATRICE GREANVILLE—These periodical performances before Congress are not good for the hoi polloi. They mislead the masses and actually hide the true mechanics of power. At best, these politicians’ and bureaucrats’ well-remunerated minuets are, like the shadows in Plato’s cave, only rough and remote approximations, not of a reality, but of an ideal perhaps impossible to realize without the benefit of revolution. Thus, the fake verbal duels and posturings will never yield a reliable representation of the actual power structure that oppresses the majority, nor of the ominous direction it is moving.
